How can i determine if a serving bowl is made of lead?
Much chrystal is 24 % lead, it's also found in glass.
Lead is heavy 11 times the weight of water so that is one distinguishing feature , it's also soft and easily eroded or oxydized and shines when scratched much brighter.
It's non magnetic.
If it was a pure lead bowl you could bend it with your fingers easily and it won't likely be round anymore, that is if you could lift it even a thin one would weigh several kilos.
