Gastric bands?

i have been refered to liverpool hospital for a gastric band and i was wondering does any one know what happens on this 1st meeting thanks xGastric bands?
My mum has recently had a gastric band fitted! Here first meeting consisted of her being wieghed and going over her diet! It did take a long time but it was worth it, as she got told all about the op and the complications and things.
She waited a yr on the waiting list and had it done at derby. She had it done 2weeks ago tomorrow. And she has already lost a stone! She is very pleased.
Andrea, I cannot help you on this one, but maybe you can help me and tell us what happened and the final result. I am sure loads of us would love to know.
