For the last 2 weeks, I have had vertigo and occasional earache...inner ear infection-anyone ever have this?

For the last 2 weeks, I have had a sensation of moving, imbalance, vertigo. No nausea or fever. Occasional earache. 2 doctors I went to said it was an inner ear infection. They cleaned my ears out (I had some wax buildup) and gave me antibiotic and medication to help with the vertigo, etc. Anyone ever have this? If not treated properly they can cause hearing damage.
Take your medication as prescribed be sure to finish them. Vertigo is kind of a side effect of the ear infection. It causes a change in your equilibrium. As soon as the infection clears up the vertigo should go away. If you finished your meds and still have the problem let your doctor know about it
