Hand goes dead while asleep?

Ocassionally, I wake up and find my hands totally numb (not as in that tingling feeling, but as in losing your hand) and I can't move or feel it at all. What is happening to my hands? How can I prevent this? I tried different sleep positions but it still occurs. Please help me.Hand goes dead while asleep?
You're cutting the signal from your nerves to your brain. You are likely laying on your arm in a funny position, and its like falling asleep. When you do it for a more extended period of time, the tingling turns into numbness -- like novacaine.
its called carpel tunnel syndrome look up on internet
sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome
It happens to me all the time. When I wake up my hand is completely numb, I try a new position and it goes away so its probably just the way your laying.
You don’t have to get worried about it. It could be because there is not enough blood circulation due to perhaps disuse atrophy or perhaps due to the fact that part of your body was at rest for two or three hours. You can find good home remedies for this. I did find some at http://ailments.in/peripheralneuropathy....
